PERBEDAAN PERILAKU KEUANGAN, GRIT, DAN LITERASI KEUANGAN PADA GENERASI MILENIAL DAN GENERASI Z


Abstract
Good financial management can help people achieve a more prosperous life now and in the future. The ease of using mobile payments tends to make financial behavior more difficult to control, thus making the millennial generation and generation Z become consumptive. This research aims to determine differences in financial behavior, financial literacy and grit in the millennial generation and generation Z among workers in Semarang City. This research uses primary data by distributing questionnaires online using Google Form. The population in this study is generation Z and millennials in Semarang who have worked and have financial capabilities. The data analysis technique used in this research is the independent sample t-test. The research results show that there are differences in financial behavior between the millennial generation and generation Z. However, there are no differences in financial literacy and grit between the millennial generation and generation Z.
Pengelolaan keuangan yang baik dapat membantu masyarakat untuk mencapai kehidupan yang lebih sejahtera saat ini dan di masa mendatang. Mudahnya penggunaan mobile payment cenderung membuat perilaku keuangan lebih susah untuk dikendalikan, sehingga membuat generasi milenial dan generasi Z menjadi konsumtif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan perilaku keuangan, literasi keuangan dan grit pada generasi milenial dan generasi Z pada pekerja di Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dengan cara membagikan kuesioner secara online menggunakan google form. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah generasi Z dan milenial di Semarang yang telah bekerja dan memiliki kemampuan finansial. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan perilaku keuangan pada generasi milenial dan generasi Z. Namun tidak terdapat perbedaan literasi keuangan dan grit pada generasi milenial dan generasi Z.
